What has changed in Windows 10 S
This is a direct alternative to Google Chrome’s OS with the idea of providing the same environment for all its users. Like this, you end up being limited to Microsoft’s environment only. This means that the user can install applications from Microsoft office, and there is no way to install desktop programs. Microsoft Edge is the default browser and cannot be changed.
As third-party applications are not allowed, it results in incompatibility with drivers as they rely on the installation of third-party apps.
Keep another thing in your mind that as you cannot install applications from outside the windows store, its users are limited to office 365 that is available only for a variant of Microsoft office in the windows store. Users are not able to install Microsoft office 2016 or any other annual modification. This is done to keep the security in check and to reduce piracy.
